Part Time Visual + Retail Specialist

part-time, 3-4 days/week - position starts early May (approx. 20 - 30 hours/wk)

Banshee is a multichannel retailer, selling irl in Portland and through multiple e-channel outlets. We are hiring a part-time retail sales associate at our 2410 E Burnside St. retail location, starting early May 2024. Must be available Fridays and weekends. Working days and times may vary during busy seasons. 

Retail experience and knowledge of current fashion and vintage trends required.

 Responsibilities:

• Opening and closing the shop
• Sales and customer service, assisting customers with the dressing room
• Maintain, organize, and visually merchandise the storefront
• Post to Instagram and TikTok content for the shop
• Process new inventory by steaming and tagging items, merchandising and restocking products as needed
• Process and ship online orders
• Keep up to date on style trends and brand knowledge as we receive new products
• General shop maintenance including general straightening + tidying throughout the day and everyday cleaning before/after shop is open.

 Skills & Qualifications: 

• Ability to work independently and alone in the shop
• Retail sales experience
• Friendly, eager to meet new people, positive attitude
• Ability to multitask and handle a busy rush alone
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when shipping orders
• Ability to problem solve and communicate with owners/managers/other employees.
• Ability to gift wrap items with provided materials
• Previous experience creating content for Instagram/Tik Tok preferred
•  Has an understanding of small businesses and is able to adapt when needed.
• Must be 18 due to working alone
